About:
My name is Hannah Kimani, and I am the Museum Store Coordinator here at the Delaware Museum of Natural History. I have been in the museum field for only 2 years, but I have always had a passion for working and connecting with others.
Aside from running our gift shop and interacting with guests, I have had the wonderful opportunity of working closely with our Collections and Research team as our museum is currently closed for renovations. I have been able to get up close and personal with our collections and learn about what goes into the behind-the-scenes of a museum.
Through working in this field, I have truly learned the importance of representation. I love being able to show our young black visitors through my work that they too belong in these spaces, and they deserve the same opportunities to pursue a career in this field.
